Join me in my cottage kitchen as we cook a delicious from scratch chicken noodle soup recipe. I make homemade chicken broth with a pasture raised chicken from my farm and delicious egg noodles. I also had a lot of fun putting together a visual garden plan for you to see my dreams for the garden in 2025. These cozy, soothing sounds will transport you to my little farm in the Iowa countryside. Cozy sounds such as simmering soup, cutting vegetables, crackling fire, bird song, coffee pouring, snow falling, soft spoken voice, and cats purring are all featured in this video.

✨ I welcome you to settle in and explore my little prairie farm where we grow, harvest, cook, and preserve delicious foods. I’ll show you around the old-fashioned and traditional cooking methods that I love to try like canning, smoking, bread making, and cooking over a crackling fire. My wish for you is to find the beauty of from scratch cooking in your own cozy cottage.

  1. I don't even know where to begin… I absolutely loved this video and everyone you post. I have made plenty of Chicken soup 🍲 in my life but I never thought of roasting the chicken and vegetables in a pot and making the broth that way. I'm never going back to just adding the raw chicken and veggies to a pot and simmering them. Thank you for being so inspiring. It's nice to know even in my early 60s that I can always learn something new. Loved seeing your family sitting together at the kitchen enjoying your delicious soup. Have a lovely day. 🌞

  2. I love this type of soup also. I cook rutabaga in mine instead of the noodles. I always serve it with garlic parmesan frend bread. ❤

  3. Hello. I love your videos for their calming effect. The modern world is so loud and clashes with noise. Watching you plan your garden reminded me of drawings my daughter has made her whole life. She plans how she wants rooms to be. Now, she wants to grow her own vegetables, maybe some fruits, so I am going to show this video to her. I think she will like it.
I am 67 and disabled so a garden would be too hard for me to maintain. I'm considering a small container "garden". What do you think?

  4. I used to plan my garden very similar to that back in the day, living in N Idaho. And making home made chicken and dumplings too.🤩thanks for sharing your life story- not such a fantasy after all.

  5. Loved your video!! So much beauty, thank you, Kayla.
I love soup, and i often make it in fall and all winter. I have yet to try making my own noodles. Ill also have to check jnto the pasta attachment. Nothing like the aroma of homemade soup simmering on the stove especially in winter.
I agree, there is beauty in all seasons. Winter and fall are my favorite. However, i am getting excited about flowers and buying plants.
Stay warm and ill be waitibg for your next masterpiece!! Phyllis from PA

  6. I could almost feel the warmth from your fire! That soup looks so delicious! I especially loved that chicken that was mostly white with some black on it. Eggs are a precious commodity these days. I actually live on a farm with no animals. I do sometimes wish that I had chickens, but it is a lot of work caring for my husband and in-laws and I don't think I would have time for the chickens, nor do I even really know how, but it sure would be nice to have my own fresh eggs. This year is going to be very wonderful especially with our Lord coming back! Heaven is going to be a wonderful place for all that know our Saviour.

  7. Your videos keep getting better and better! I never want them to end 🙁 haha
I always wonder, do the cats ever go in your house of are they very much outdoor only kitties? They're all so beautiful! All the animals are 🙂

  8. Hi Kayla

    Simone
Ps. I LOVE your knitted cardigan. Is it homemade or bought?
