The design is super cute and I’d be absolutely thrilled if someone gifted it. If I were buying from a friend I’d be happy, but from a pro I’d want smoother frosting and a refined finish.

I always feel uncomfortable pricing my cakes for people! My partner often has to remind me to keep in mind not only the cost of supplies but the number of hours it took me to work on them. For my six inch three layer cakes I usually charge $100 and even with that when I break down the hours I spent decorating everything it’s hardly minimum wage lol. This looks wonderful, great job!

Omg. The hay bales are so cute!!!

It’s a terrific cake for a three year old, very imaginative but I don’t think it stands up to the higher quality cakes one sees on this sub. The technique needs work. Keep at it because technique can be mastered whereas imagination is a gift.

I would be very disappointed if I paid a professional for this cake. Although the design is cute it is not executed to a professional standard.

The cake has a lot of cute details and the composition is super nice. Though there are some traits that show that the person making the cake has little experience: see-through coloring, rough, uneven, and serrated edges (seems that many details had been cut by knife with no template), uneven piping on the sides, thick cookie/hard pastry parts. If these can be improved, I guess lots of people would consider buying it.

i personally would pay family/friends for it, but not a professional baker.
it’s a wonderful, adorable cake! but the technique isn’t quite professional quality.

It’s lovely, and any 3 year old would be thrilled with it but as earlier comments, it is a bit rustic looking, it’s a fab job for an amateur but please come back and give us more details x

You have a similar decorating style to my mum’s! And I mean that as a compliment because her cakes are always lovely. But she does do it purely as a hobby. I would absolutely be happy with this cake for my toddler and would be happy to pay a token sum for the efforts.

Cost of ingredients, labor, time, box, bow, business card, cake boards, dowls, the eggs, butter
And check local other cottage bakers around you to see what they charge

LOL I THOUGHT YOU ASKED HOW MUCH TO PAY
Yes!! It’s so adorable and very fitting theme for a 3 year old I would be over the moon for this if I had a kid

I would pay you with a compliment! Keep having fun with it!

As some others have said, I would probably be upset to pay for this from a professional bakery but for supporting family or friends this is a great cake! Don’t let it get you down just keep practicing and getting better! Most importantly have fun. And honestly homemade is usually tastier and made with much more love anyways 🙂 by the way the creativity is wonderful so just keep honing in on those skills!!

As a gift, I’d love it.
If buying from a friend, I’d pay for it but not pro prices.
If buying from a pro, hell no.

I love it. I love the little tiny cute farm animals, and the cookie trees and the colors that are so fitting!
Why can’t someone around here make cakes like that so I can have it for *my* birthday?

I love the apple tree! It’s so adorable!

I would pay a friend for this cake. I would not pay a professional, or at-home baker for this.
