Man what a gem in our neighborhood. Omar is the epitome of hospitality and just a guy you want in your corner. Even a 2 min interaction with him while ordering / picking up your food is enough to make your day.

The food is outrageously tasty as well. The best way I can describe it is that it is made with love. That’s super cliche I know. What does that mean? The portions are huge for what you pay ($16 for a massive plate of garlic yellow rice, huge pieces of crispy fried fish, tomatoes/onion slaw + tostones + sauces is wild). Everything is seasoned amazingly well and the green sauce really sets it off. I wish I took a picture of my wife’s ropa vieja jibarito because that thing was huge and full flavor. Empanadas are fried golden and stuffed to the brim with juicy, flavorful meats (we got the lechon and ropa vieja). If you’re in the mood for a plate that feels like your Cuban grandma spent all day making for you, this is the spot. God bless Omarcitos man we need more places like this in the city
