    As soon as I opened this tin I got a lovely waft of smoke, two fat sardines packed well with oil. I had them on some toasted olive ciabatta with a bit of rocket and some semi dried tomatoes – no need for any butter or sauces. Fish pieces were soft and yielding, great smoky flavour. Got some surprise eggs in one of them but that didn’t put me off, no real difference in taste or texture.

    Overall pretty enjoyable! I don’t think I’d buy these all the time but I’d probably pick up another tin.

    Based on appearance alone, this looks more like a Moroccan product.
