My ganache looked good out of the fridge, it was very smooth and seemed like the right texture. After whipping it almost felt like a smooth buttercream, but when I iced the cake it got crumbly?? I’m not sure what I did wrong, any advice?

    I’m guessing the cake layers were cold and the ganache was starting to set. Boil some water and use it to heat up your bench scraper or offset spatula, wipe off the water and it will smooth your frosting by slightly melting it.
