Honestly just looking for opinions(good or bad) on my work so far for this cake. It’s a dummy I designed forever ago for a promotion at work and have FINALLY had time to work on it lol, still need to finish making and painting the snakes for her head and plan to add a grouping of flowers on top of the marble tier, let me know what you think!
And yes, I did make some alterations to the original design 😅

It took me reading the word “Medusa” to realise it was Medusa at first. I think because the snakes are sitting very flat on the head, I thought it was goo at first.
First of all, this cake is amazing!! Second of all, the snakes are too light of a green in my opinion and like the other commenter mentioned, could have more volume to them.
Ok, literally it’s amazing! I am an amateur and I bow to your cake skills! The only thing I can criticize is the snakes…laying flat on the head for Medusa isn’t quite right…and maybe the color. I would have gone with a shiny gold.
Honestly, flawless execution otherwise, in my opinion!

The head looks like a bald man with snakes on it. If that can be fixed then this cake will be FLAWLESS
Really amazing work! As it is right now the flowers kind of steal your eye away from the Medusa because they are so much more colorful, but it sounds like you’re planning on adding more vibrancy to the top so that should balance it out.

Oh damn!!! Of every amazing thing that is an example of two sides to a coin!!! You nailed it!! Beautiful flowers, amazing colors, incredible ancient structure, and then perfectly adding the terrifying story of Medusa. This cake is epic!!!
It looks amazing, but the medusa factor is lost upon the flat snakes. Is there a way to make them more wild? Try using wire hangers and rice krispy treats w.ganache covered in decorated fondant. that would take this design to the next level.
What did you use for the blue waves at the bottom? They look like blue fruit roll up.
Everything about this is so awesome, even considering the Medusa part isn’t finished! That being said, the mouth really bothers me. It’s giving influencer over-done lip filler to me. It maybe it’ll look better once it’s finished
It looks amazing ❤️ even if she isn’t finished, she does have very masculine features, they eyebrows, eye shape, nose shape, cheek height, and lip volume are all stereotypical manly features, Medusa is supposed to be alluring
