Cleveland County is poised to welcome spring and with it, a variety of upcoming spring events.

Ice Cream Season Opening Day

Saturday, at 11 a.m., at Guernsey Girl Creamery, 3361 Bridges Dairy Road, Shelby.

Guernsey Girl Creamery is hosting their second season of homemade ice cream. Get your favorite milkshakes, ice cream sandwiches or cup or cones of freshly made ice cream. They will be frying cheese curds as well so mark your calendar.

Woodmill Winery Spring Wine Festival

Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Woodmill Winery, 1350 Woodmill Winery Lane, Vale.

The winery’s annual spring wine festival will feature more than 80 vendors. In addition to shopping there will be complimentary wine samplings and some tasty wine slushies for 21+ attendees. Food trucks will be on site.

WoodMill Winery will also be offering their variety of wines as well, including; Muscadine, Scuppernong, Blueberry, Blackberry, Apple, Concord Grape, Special Blends and Mulled Wine. You are sure to find a wine that will satisfy your palate from Southern Sweets to Delightful Dry’s. Slushie Flavors will be Apple and Concord Grape.

Third Annual Swing into Spring

Saturday, March 29 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Cleveland County Fairgrounds, 1751 E. Marion St.

The annual spring market is hosted by Blended and Beautiful Boutique and features dozens of vendors, food trucks live music and more.

Spring Wine Walk

Saturday, March 29, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Wine Collective at 5 N. Lafayette St.

Experience the charm of uptown Shelby like never before with the exclusive Spring Wine Walk, hosted by Wine Collective. Tickets are limited.

Explore the heart of uptown Shelby as the Wine Collective partner with stores, each offering a distinctive selection of wines for participants to sample.

There will be over 20 curated wines selected by Certified Sommelier and WSET Diploma of Wine Candidate Mary Montalvo.

VIP Ticket holders will have other wines to taste and private wine lounge to relax and enjoy a grazing table prepared by Perry Culinary Services. VIP holders can start the wine walk at 5:30 p.m., to avoid lines. Only 12 tickets available for the VIP Experience.

Light appetizers will be offered as well as special discounts.

Backroad Pickers 2025 Spring Fling

Saturday, April 5 at 9 a.m. at Backroad Pickers at 3949 Fallston Waco Road, Fallston.

There will be more than 45 indoor vendors, 25 outdoor, food trucks, sales and more.

Spring at the Mill Craft Fair and Market

Saturday, April 12, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Double Shoals Cotton Mill a 199 Old Mill Road.

The mill, which is the oldest in Cleveland County features local vendors and is family and pet friendly, with free admission and parking.

The Easter Bunny will be in attendance and an opportunity to photograph him with your family and furry friends.

Spring Festival at Possum Hollow Farm

The spring festival will be held April 19 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 822 Pleasant Drive, Shelby.

The local farm store is hosting its annual spring festival. There will be new items in store, and there will be food trucks and local vendors set up outside as well as live music.
