Hello, Im using an onlyfire cast iron grate for the first time, does it need some kind of seasoning? If affirmative, any advice or recommended steps?
Should I oil the grate before putting the food?

Send it. You can’t really destroy cast iron.
After use I clean and dry thoroughly then wipe with grapeseed oil then spend 6x as long trying to wipe off all the grapeseed oil. That’s all you need to do. You could even do that every 6th use and it’d be fine

Most cast iron grates are enameled so they don’t rust immediately when left outside. They don’t need to be seasoned.

Wash it, dry it. Then spray avocado oil on it. Heat it to a high temp for 15 mins and then you should be good to just cook on it. Only cleaning you need to do thereafter is to scrape it with a brush when it’s still hot after each use
