Does any one know what this is called? It’s just like leftovers, but does it have a proper name? It’s like dust

I used to clean meat departments nightly. Some meatsaws have a bin to catch the stuff below. Its the bone dust combined with meat and fat. Prolly for dog food or prolly even farm animals. Dont know the actual name for it if there is one. Places I worked never sold it but its a good idea.

For everyone saying “feed it to the dogs” that’s fine but only as an infrequent treat. If you start making bone dust a regular part of your dog’s diet then poor Fido is going to get constipated and very fat. Not a combo for longevity.

Bone meal

…. I never thought I’d see the day someone trying to sell bone dust (I know you said your friend is a butcher and gave you it but still). I wash that off the saw every day I work. Didn’t know you could feed it to dogs but that makes a lot of sense since it’s bone and meat

My father, as a meat cutter, would bring this home for our dogs.
Pop it in the oven, bake it until thoroughly cooked, use it to supplement their diet.

Holy shit, if I saw this I’d never shop at that store again. The penny pinching is off the charts, I bet he re-uses trays too.
