HONOLULU (Island News) — Pepper Lunch, the Japanese chain that specializes in fast and casual teppanyaki, will sizzle in Hawaii as soon as late 2025.
The first location is set to open at the Moanalua Shopping Center later this year. In late 2026, two more restaurants will be at the Hyatt Centric Waikiki on Kuhio Avenue and on Kapahulu Avenue where currently Running Room is.
These openings are part of plans to introduce 10 Pepper Lunch restaurants across the state.

Since 1994, Pepper Lunch has brought unique and innovative Japanese dining at over 500 locations in 17 countries. NIKU LLC, the operator of Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen in Hawaii, signed lease agreements to bring the do-it-yourself experience to the islands over the next year.
