high school senior made this for a competition. thoughts of it as a restaurant menu item? Priced at about $35, rib eye and the blue corn tortillas are “handpressed” (not really but they would be.) the sauce is an agave pineapple glaze, and pretend the lemon is a lime

  1. Why do the tortillas look so wet lol. And they’re gonna get cold fast presented like this. Stacked and wrapped nicely in a cloth is a much nicer presentation

    The glaze is really not working for me on any level. Visually, looks like a portion of maple syrup you’d get somewhere slightly fancier than an IHOP. In general, just seems way too thin, sweet, and one-note. I’d want like an actual salsa, I think.

    Depends where you are I guess, but charging US$35 for this would be pretty cheeky imo
