The U.S. Eagle Credit Union Auto Show on Saturday was a benefit times two.The annual event, which began in 2017, raises money for the Rio Grande Food Project. It was also the crowning achievement of the credit union’s junior board of directors, which organized it. Made up of 16 to 22-year-olds, the junior board receives a stipend from US Eagle and guidance on financial literacy and preparing for a professional career after they graduate from high school or college, said USE spokesperson Alisia McAfee, who also is an advisor to the junior board.As for the fundraising component of the event, the owners of the cars in the show are asked to make a donation of nonperishable food or money.
