An American tourist has gone viral after posting a few videos commenting on the food in France being ‘disgusting’ – and a surprising about of individuals in the comments agreed with her

American tourists go viral for a lot of reasons – but this one is likely to really bother the French.
One tourist got over 400,000 views on a video where she rated her French breakfast, which she said cost her $50 and tasted “disgusting.” She then made a series of videos of her walking about Paris and complaining about the food.
What should’ve started a controversy in the comments actually ended up being a statement that a lot of people agreed with.
One user replied: “I lived off coffee and croissants in Paris! The food is not great at all!” Another said: “Go to McDonald’s lol! Also yeah I lived off baguettes and cheese.” Other comments recommended some good Parisian restaurants, but most people agreed that they preferred Paris’ fast food and fresh baked pastries to any of the savory things.

The initial video that launched the controversy has since been removed, but it showed TIkToker @dasiavu__ as she went for a Parisian breakfast and was shocked at what she got. Jacobs filmed herself walking to a café and drinking a glass of orange juice. “It was actually tasty and I should have drank every little inch of it if I would have known what was gonna happen,” she said.

When she ordered French toast, she says she was given “a slice of bread” with ice cream. In photos, it was topped with fruit – but apparently, not fruit that Dasia had ever seen (currants) as she complained about it looking like “fake fruit.” She said in the video, “What the frick is that? Disgusting. Zero out of 10.”
In a later video, she posted her review of a “taco” spot in Paris. Throughout the video, she keeps mentioning that she’s been hungry and that she has yet to have a good meal. The Parisian-Mexican joint was also not to her liking, although she said her “chicken burger” tasted pretty good, but the loaded fries were “sus.”
Some commented on her video saying that she was way off and French food was good – but many of the comments were loaded with recommendations that suggested staying away from French food and trying all of the cuisines that are available – like Vietnamese, Cambodian, Morrocan, and Tunisian.

As she walks around, Dasia tells her followers: “I don’t want any more French food. I don’t want any more bread… If this food is not good, I am going home. I’m not kidding… But for me, food makes the trip.”
She added: “If the food’s not good, I’m not going to have a good time. It’s a little dramatic, yeah. But is it me? Absolutely.”
In another video, she updates her followers saying that’s she’s finally had a good meal – at Starbucks of all places.
