I cooked rice in simmering boiling water. It turned out quite ok, maybe 2 minutes less and it would’ve been perfect.

Bought 700g of chicken breast, cut it into cubes, fried them on suflower oil. After they were cooked I added a tiny bit of fresh finely diced tomatoe and peppers, cooked for a minute, added premate tomato and chilli sauce and boiled it like that for a few mins.

Used salt as a spice the whole time for rice chicken etc. I kept tasting everything during cooking so it turned out real good. Lol imma finna stop tryping now but you all have no idea how proud i m of myself rn. Already have so many plans

Congrats on your first ever meal prep!! This internet stranger is super proud of you!! 👏👏👏

Well done! Agree with the other comment that the non-rice element needs more volume, the ratio seems off for my tastes!

You should be proud of yourself!
A lot of people would be too intimidated to meal prep with minimal cooking experience and you did it, and did it well! If you want to experiment with spices, try Seasoned Salt. It has a nice blend of spices and the salt ratio is perfect. Add a little at a time, you can always add more. Thank you for sharing. I’m going to give this a try!👍

Ohhh, some mushrooms and garlic, sautéed in a little butter before adding would be a great addition.

Hell yeah you can feed yourself! And it tastes better than buying food a lot of the time

Respectfully this is not a complete meal but it’s a meal and it’s good enough so good job! Meal prepping is so much harder than it seems

The library is always a fantastic source for learning the how’s to cook. There is a wide variety of cook books, down to the kind of diet or style youre looking for, some even give exact shopping lists to help get started!

Your off to a great start, and it’s smart of you to meal prep to save money. It makes a huge difference to the pocketbook versus eating out everyday.

Cooking is a lot of fun and you’ll learn what you like and how to elevate the dishes you make as you get more experience. Plus it’s a great way to spend time with friends, my husband and I would take turns with another couple making dinner and it was a great time, plus we learned how to make even more amazing dishes. Way to go!

Yooooooo, amazing job!!!! It starts exactly here, and once you’ve made enough meals, you’ll learn so much, and your mind and body will appreciate all the effort you’re putting into it now.

First meal prep and you cooked rice by the pot? I’ve been meal prepping for a few weeks now and I’m still too inept to even consider that (I crutch on my rice cooker). Well done!
