He bought it in 2012. My first Kamado. It didn’t come with a deflector I guess. I should probably get one. Although, it looks like this one used a full circle, not the half moons.

Back a decade ago when these were for sale I seem to recall KJ advising customers to consider the color (red/black) your children would prefer, because it will one day be theirs to enjoy.
Love my red stainless standalone from the same timeframe , but damn your black classic with the pre-HDPE wood handle and shelves in near-new condition looks sweeeeeeet.

You’ll enjoy it. Be sure to get the deflector plates. You’ll want them for smoking. I suggest a wireless meat thermometer too. There are lots of great videos online for getting started.
