Has anyone experienced chipping on the edge? Is this a manufacture defect? Warranty department has offered a touch up paint to fix it…..

I’d say it’s not watertight and would lean in on them. Was into ceramics for a long time and the glaze is like glass/keeps water out. Doesn’t look great but obviously won’t get better.

Is the band touching the ceramic? Can you check if it is loose? Could be the band hitting the side of the ceramic when you open or relocate the Kamado?

Not normal at all. I would understand if it got banged once and it chipped. But having it chip more and more all around is not normal.
