  2. Fun dango fact, also relevant because there is a lovely monkey park on Mt. Takao where you can see this in action:

    When Japanese monkeys (Japanese macaques) get cold, they huddle very close together in a group for warmth. When they’re in their closely huddled group formation, it’s called a “sarudango” – “saru” being monkey, “dango” being dango of course. I just think it’s the cutest term! A monkey dumpling.
