PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A central Phoenix dessert shop continues to share its Japanese-inspired donuts in creative flavors with the Valley!
Mochidot Donuts recently celebrated two years on March 25, and their desserts are almost too pretty to eat.
The Asian-owned and family-owned business can be found in central Phoenix near 7th Street and Camelback Road.

In addition to its delicious donuts, Mochidot now serves coffee and will add more iced coffee options.
Mochi donuts are different from what you’d find at a typical bakery. They are made with mochi, which is a rice flour that gives the donuts a chewy and pillowy texture.
Owner Nichole Williscroft says the inception of mochi donuts came from Japan, then made its way to Hawaii before becoming popular in the continental U.S.

Everything in Mochidot is made in-house, with their specialty flavors changing monthly.
Mochidot stopped by Arizona’s Family to share their story and some of their May donut flavors, such as ube, churro, powdered sugar, strawberry cheesecake, white rabbit, black sesame white chocolate, German chocolate, and lavender lemonade.
