Seemed like a good deal to me. Any tips for cleaning it up?

Hey! It looks like you posted an image!

If this is a photo of one of your cooks, maybe share the recipe and techniques
used, as it’s almost guaranteed one of the first questions you will be asked!

    *What seasoning did you use?

*How long did you cook it, and at what temperature?

*Did you use any special tricks or techniques?

    Traeger on!

I had this grill and hated it. Never held temps, super inconsistent hot spots, and wasn’t very smokey.

For $200 it’s not a terrible price, but I ended up returning mine to Costco. Idk if it’s the shape but my friends with the cylinder shape traegers have all had much more success.

Is it a Silverton 620? I paid $100 for mine, used. Was originally posted for $250. Had to replace drip tray, grates, and heat diffuser. That cost $150. So, for $250, it is almost like new.

I have it, got it used off marketplace. I haven’t had a single issue except replacing a hot rod, which is common and easy. And mines actually the older controller with no Wifi. Don’t use the probe that comes with it.

For that price…take it and run. Get a smoke tube off of amazon and you will be rocking. Had mine for over 4 years and it was great. All in all you won’t see a lot of complaints of the Silverton 620 even a former Traeger employee said they had very little problems with them.

This smoker is fantastic, absolutely fantastic.

I have the Silverton 620 and I love it. Be sure to vacuum the pot out every two or three cooks. Any more and you could get flare ups. Get one of those bucket vacuums from Home Depot for $40. I think they work best for cleaning the smokers. I have had zero problems with mine.
