Pfft, stack the ladles face down on each other with the handle facing away. Place the grater flat and ram rod everything else with a large flat surface into it handle first – mashers, grinders, whatever.
Bonus, keep one side of the drawer for flatter tools like spats and stack them face down, handle away.

i always angle ladles so they end up hooking into the little space between the drawer and the cabinet so that i don’t have this issue. also… do ppl have drawers big enough for box graters????
