Hello everyone,

I got a traeger 22 pro for father's day, needless to say I'm obsessed.

Since I got it, all I had cooked on it was wings, brats, and steaks. Yesterday I did my first pork butt. The cook session took me about 11 hours.

It turned out great, I would love some tips on cooking more efficiently for next time.

Hey! It looks like you posted an image!

If this is a photo of one of your cooks, maybe share the recipe and techniques
used, as it’s almost guaranteed one of the first questions you will be asked!

    *What seasoning did you use?

*How long did you cook it, and at what temperature?

*Did you use any special tricks or techniques?

    Traeger on!

I haven’t done the pork butt yet since my wife doesn’t do pork so I haven’t looked into any recipes for it. By chance did the bottom get a bit mushy? Curious if you’re supposed to cook it in the juices like that. Otherwise if it tasted, you’re good. I will mention, while pork isn’t big in my fam, i have been cooking baby back ribs and they are so damn good/easy with the Traeger

  3. How’d you cook it? How’d it taste?

Traeger isn’t very efficient at baseline

Pork butt/ shoulder is pretty easy. Evan i cant screw one up. I did have a fire once and that one even turned out good. My roasts are usually 8/10 pounds and i cook two at a time. Same with whole chickens. We keep one and give the other to someone in the hood. Traeger’s do the best chicken.
