Anyone else hit mid-30s and become hibiscus obsessed?


Anyone else think the middle of these flowers are looking a little sus 🫣

    Hey, so I also make hibiscus flowers on summery cakes, and I got a few dope tips. Do you pipe these on paper and freeze them? If you do: put them in a cupcake pan to shape the petals to more of an upward cup shape, then place them on the cake and add leaves under them. It gives them so much more of a 3D effect. Also, the stamen in the middle, I pipe completely upward, like a cone. Here’s a pic from a few years ago, apparently, I haven’t taken any updated pictures of cakes with hibiscus. My stamens are thinner around then this now, more of a size three tip piped completely upward.

    I am 33 and obsessed w hibiscus and had them on my wedding cake a few years ago 🤣. Loving the colors on your cake, wow!

    I have loved hibiscus flowers my whole life, but I became obsessed with them when I found out that they’re like a dessert for sloths. We’re a sloth-obsessed family. I have hibiscus plants in my garden and will give some of the blooms to my daughter’s plush sloth. 🩷🦥🌺
