First chocolate cake attempt for wife’s birthday


First attempt at decorating a birthday cake by myself for my wife's 46th birthday. The frosting is in sloppy in many places compared to all the other posts I see on here. However, I think it's okay for a first timer.

    I don’t think it looks sloppy. It has that artisanal look, in that imperfections are what make it so perfectly and uniquely gorgeous. It certainly looks delicious. I’m pretty sure I gained 2 lbs just looking at the photo, LOL! I’m sure your wife will appreciate it very much.

    Excellent work, the way you arranged the chocolate and fruit on top is professional looking. The imperfections will even out, and in a way make it even more special- I bet it was delicious. Well done.
