I have the opportunity to purchase a Timberline 1300 for $500. The guy is moving and can’t take it with him. He has had it for approximately 1 year.

Should I buy this or look for a deal on a new one?

Hey! It looks like you posted an image!

If this is a photo of one of your cooks, maybe share the recipe and techniques
used, as it’s almost guaranteed one of the first questions you will be asked!

    *What seasoning did you use?

*How long did you cook it, and at what temperature?

*Did you use any special tricks or techniques?

    Traeger on!

I have an 850. It’s a champ. I would ask to see it run a cycle and make sure all the mechanical components work properly. If it’s a stranger 100% if a friend then 110% haha $500 is still a lot of money but why are they selling a $2000 smoker for $500?

I’ve got a 1300 and I love that thing. If it’s in perfect working condition your getting that for an absolute steal. It’s a great workhorse with minimal upkeep. The only thing that stinks is cleaning the grates because they’re one huge piece and not split into three smaller sets like in other models.
