Thought this place fuckin killed it. Had a great experience. Not every dish is pictured but I sometimes lack the restraint to take a picture before slamming my face into a nice dish. Alas, the deer tartare was preposterous, prob my favorite bite of the evening.
As for the pics at the end. One of the team was chatting with us a bit and we got to talking a little music because my wife and I were in town for a concert (peach pit 🤘). He was unfamiliar so I comped them to a few bands including Girls. My guy was extremely stoked I knew about Chris Owens so we just immediately hit it off and dished on music and food. We made it to the downstairs bar for cocktail and petit fours/mignardise and waiting for us was a picture of Owens w some lyrics. We lingered a bit, grabbed an extra drink, my buddy walked us out, gave us a proper recc for post-game drinks and hugged us goodbye.
The food was stellar but when you are able to assemble a team who can take that hard/primary stuff and combine it with the soft skill/touch of gracious hospitality… I think it’s about putting the right people in the right places and that is incredibly challenging in any endeavor. Kudos, one of the best meals I’ve ever had both on and off the plate. A great evening and good memories.
