Yes, it’s a smoker. Also, that’s a terrible place to put a smoker.

  2. Funny stuff, can’t imagine the neighbors being impressed. Buddy might even be violating his renters agreement.

Feel for them though, not a whole lot of options there it looks like.

When I lived in an apartment this was strictly forbidden. Almost certain their lease is going up in smoke too.

  4. BustyCelebLover

This dude better be going door to door with big samples to make up for the smoke inhalation and slow burning of the building

  5. twilight-actual

Most apartment complexes have strict rules against smokers. They’ll allow hibachis and other small grills, but not a smoker.

  6. Trekgiant8018

Illegal where I live and my neighbors would be complaining in 0.5 seconds.

  7. Tacos_are_my_friend

Bet the neighbors love that…yikes. And don’t let the landlord catch the owner using that smoker.

  8. That’s extremely reckless. Hope he keeps the grease clean.

  9. Trolldad_IRL

They’ve lost their cleaning deposit to be sure. However, smokers do make a lot of smoke. It just should not be under a covered patio like that.

  10. Square-Blackberry995

I would hate to be this guy’s neighbor. Holy smoke

  11. ImOldGregg_77

Put it at LEAST 10 ft away from any structure

  12. No, this is not normal. The smoke should not be coming out of the pellet box. Even during start up when lots of smoke comes out, the lid should be open. During normal operation, the smoke is not thick.

  13. SnooHesitations8403

Makin’ friends. I’ll bet the neighbors just love that!

Appreciate the initiative but this is highly inconsiderate and contrary BBQ ethics 🤣

  15. arrrValue

Everyone’s rent just went up when the insurance company saw this.

  16. BBQ_and_bacon_lover

Melting the siding or inviting everyone over?

  17. A smoker on an apartment porch? No definitely not normal.

  18. cyberlyft

No, and please don’t use it under your neighbors like that

  19. SpaceTraveler221

No not normal, and yes the guy needs a house not an apartment.

  20. hpsctchbananahmck

No it’s not normal to place a smoker in such a position.

Yes it’s supposed to make that much smoke

Yes if you leave it there you’ll be having conversations with the fire department.

  21. Own_Car4536

No and you can catch your building on fire from that

  22. What’s wrong g with it he’s just showing everyone how good it smells

  23. No_Public_7677

That’s why outside grills/smokers are allowed in apartments

  24. Every apartment I’ve ever lived in has specifically banned grilled on patios and balconies. Not normal.

  25. slindner1985

The fire is getting choked. Honestly there shouldn’t even be a smoker there this is why they make gas grills

  26. Lil_Shanties

Normal at start up, should settle down but that’s a shit spot they could at least roll it out towards the sidewalk to not straight up smoke everyone out. Looks like they have been doing it for a while, I’m shocked they have been allowed to do it long enough to blacken the walls. Hope they have a spare brisket on there for neighbor bribes.

  27. here2upset

What’s that? Burning the whole building down or being a nuisance to your neighbors with that smoke?

  28. Level21DungeonMaster

this guy is going to burn down your apartment building. Failing that he’ss at least smoke all of your clothes like a ham.

  29. BananaNutBlister

People being inconsiderate of their neighbors is unfortunately totally normal.

  30. Odin_Exodus

Smoke coming out of the hopper is not normal

  31. Rawalmond73

If there was some wind it wouldn’t be that bad but that’s an issues to the neighbors.

  32. ChrisRogers67

That much smoke from a smoker isn’t what you want. That’s dirty smoke

  33. T-virus_survivor

I’m sure he’s popular with his neighbors

  34. Apartments usually don’t allow for any type of smoking/grilling because it’s a hazard. And with the smoker, that smokes going to embed into the wood and that’s all people will smell and could cause damage, neighbors to get pissed off and possibly even void a lease (if these aren’t owned but the who stay in them)

  35. hicheckthisout

It’s normal. How physics works. If it’s legal, not quite sure.

  36. Outrageous_File5321

Yep, I have a Traegar in my backyard and I’m sure all the neighbors know what I’m up to

  37. itsthenumberseven

For the pit? Yes. For the apartment? No

  38. Great way to get kicked out of the apartments. Depending on the neighbors, but most of the time you will get at least one pain in the azz , that will write a complain to a manager
