  1. Everything looks great but at that price no thank you

  2. Patient-Rain-4914

My mouth is watering. The brisket and mac n cheese look very nice. Was the brisket as tender as it looks?

Buy your own smoker and do it yourself. It’s easier than you think!

  4. Honest-Geologist-322

I hope it was good because you got had.

  5. halfbakedalaska

Does that come with a HELOC? Jesus Christ these prices are ridiculous.

If I hit the lottery I wouldn’t buy that out of principle.

  6. Narkolepse

Finally a place I’ve been. That stuff is so delicious. Glad I had a company card to pay when I went.

  7. Cooper1977

I would turn that whole place into a BBQ if they charged me $146 for that.

  8. Swiftraven

For that price that peach cobbler wasn’t free, you absolutely paid for it lol

Everyone is kind of being harsh on OP, but really, if they were happy with the food for the price, who cares?

Restaurants that serve bad food and/or (especially ‘and’) simply don’t stay in business. Pricing in our economy must be incredibly difficult for restaurants to exist. People say, “Oh, I wish so-and-so had stayed open.” But you can’t have both-the restaurant needs to make rent, payroll, cost of goods sold, insurance, taxes, blah blah blah. I’d rather give a little more to the people trying to feed their families than paying some CEO’s multimillion dollar salary. 😅

I honestly don’t understand why people pay these prices.

You must be better off than me OP, glad you enjoyed.

  11. SmokeMeatEveryday88

I looked at their menu and their prices are slightly higher than some places. If OP liked it, that’s all that matters. I guess the Mac and cheese is good lol

Wow, that brisket looks great. I have been to the Hutchins in McKinney and loved it. Especially those TX Twinkees, so good. If you ever find yourself over in Ft Worth, try out Panther City, great bbq!

Don’t feel like you have to defend this. You paid good money for top notch BBQ. Most of these whiners either a. Can’t afford it, b. Are too lazy to cook it themselves (if not, why dont you lol), or c. Just don’t have a clue to begin with. They’re likely the same people that get offended by a large truck and immediately become obsessed with genitals lol

  14. I live in Dallas and Hutchins is what I measure everything by. It’s so dang good and only like a few percent less delicious than the big hitters like Goldees, etc.

  15. Alternative_Dot_9640

People be dunking on the price, but honestly Hutchins is great for what you get. That dessert bar rips. Cheers!

  16. whiteguyinchina411

Hutchins is fantastic, but their beef ribs are so expensive. Good, but expensive.

  17. MoneyIsMyCousinsName

That’s absolutely fucking insane. There is absolutely no reason it should be that expensive.

  18. Organic-Row9514

Anyone complaining about the price… have y’all seen how much beef costs lately? + how much you have to pay people to cook and serve it?

  19. ChemicalResident3557

That is 15 dollars of meet and a bunch of cheap sides. Hell no. Even when you figure labor and overhead costs this should not cost more than $50. I don’t care how good it might be.

  20. booboisseur

Been there and still think about that brisket, your pic made my mouth water.

Was banana dessert when I was there, also delicious.

  21. SureZookeepergame351

Curious what a Texas Twinkie is but too scared to google it.

  22. Infinite_Material780

How’s your ass after just getting it pounded on that price?

  23. Thank god the dessert was free. Otherwise I might think it was overpriced.

  24. SwiftSurfer365

Their beef ribs are my favorite thing in the world.

  25. CubicDice

I’m sorry, but that’s ridiculous. I know BBQ ain’t cheap, but fuck off with those prices.

  26. Business_Spend5935

I go there frequently and have never spent anywhere near that much (fwiw)

  27. A-10Kalishnikov

I went to the original Roy Hutchins in Southlake and got 1/4 lbs ribs, 1/4 lbs brisket, and 1/4 lbs burnt ends + 2 sided and a drink for about 43$.

  28. jcole4lsu

Lol and people were trying to tell me Hurtado was too expensive

  29. sc00bs000

    “free desert” lol

you paid for that desert 10 fold bud
