I’m not a cake artist, but this was fun to make! I drew inspiration from different cauldron cakes I saw on the internet.

Black cocoa cake frosted with black cocoa buttercream and filled with alternating layers of marshmallow frosting and blackberry jam (the jam was runnier than I wanted but oh well). The tentacles are made of fondant.

    The jam ended up being perfect for blood and guts on the inside of the slaughtered cake. Perfect for Halloween!
