Ate at Jatak as a solo, really enjoyed the whole package. I sat at the counter in between two other singles, and the staff was very willing to talk, so I wasn’t short on conversation.

The food was, for the most part, excellent. Standouts for me were beets amuse, stuffed courgette blossom, tomato course, chicken course, and the castella cake. Flavors and textures all very well balanced, with a nice mix of subtle flavors in one course followed by something punchy in the next. The only thing I wasn’t thrilled with was the truffle course – it felt like it was on the menu because the chef thought he needed to have something truffle to justify the price.

I did the juice pairing for the meal and was pleasantly surprised with the variety on offer. Often juice pairings can be sweet after sweet after sweet, but here there were some sweets, some drys, and some that floated somewhere in between.

Overall very happy with Jatak. It felt like the best iteration of your neighborhood restaurant, with great food, great service, a comfortable atmosphere, and people who were there to enjoy the whole experience. Would certainly recommend if you’re looking for something a little off the beaten path in Copenhagen.

    Loved Jatak very, very much.

The kind of place I could eat at every other month if I lived there.

Probably the best restaurant open in CPH on a Sunday as well, from what I’ve gathered.

A moment for the cubbies at the chef’s counter as well.
