Went here with my wife a few weeks ago on a trip through the region. We did the Expression menu. They gave us the sketched out menu cards which I thought were cool so I attached each just ahead of its respective course.
Not pictured are welcome bites. First a lone Parmigiano Reggiano bombolone. Then a trio of bites: ricotta cannolo (more nuance here but cannot recall), mortadella pastry(?) it was almost like a panipuri, and a cuttlefish ‘slider’ on an ink bun. Great first bites. A solid preamble to what was waiting for us in the menu.
You can kinda follow the menu in the pics but I thought the Cheese and Pears was the standout: fusilli cooked in pear kombucha with parm, pepper and bay leaves. So loud from the tart pear kombucha and nicely tamed with bay leaves & parm, also the fusili was pretty monster and intentionally was left with some teeth, loved the idea and very substantial for such a small few bites.
Overall I thought the whole experience was very satisfying. That word feels right. Great and warm service, had some laughs with the staff and felt doted on as 1 of 3 seated tables for the evening.
The dishes were fun and creative but what stood out more was, I got the feeling (in a way I don’t always feel at fine dining spots) that they were there to feed us and we were there to eat. I know that seems silly to say but kinda fuckin awesome that the experience didn’t ask a ton of me, was delicious, and just… yeah throw me a monster Ravi and tell me to eat it in one bite. That’s what I’m here for.
Was great, solid pairing with the wine and got to chop it up with chef and the rest of the team at the end.

I wish more restaurants would do picture menus like this labeling the components. I always end up forgetting half of what the server says especially when there’s a backstory or long list of ingredients
