Had a very pleasant dinner at Stubborn Seed 12/5/25.

Since it was the first time there I was not sure what to expect.

The restaurant itself was very Miami casual. The ambient noise level was energetic but was still able to have a conversation with my table mate.

The service was spot on and fun. The 9 course tasting menu was served at a nice pace. Neither rushed nor too slow. The servers were professional but had a great sense of humor which kept the meal lively.

The dishes themselves were uniformly well executed and very tasty. They ranged from very restrained and subtle (the hamachi) to more dynamic (the fritter).

I very much enjoyed his use of Allspice in a few of these dishes.

Low points were probably the raviolo and maybe the foie gras which while tasty were a bit heavy.

All and all a very solid meal. The price point 250$ was probably slightly high for that meal, but not excessively so.
