Standard roast dinner, bit of a dress rehearsal for Christmas. I normally do hogget from my butcher for Christmas which is an older sheep with a leaner and more flavoursome profile (ideal for slow roasting but a little less versatile overall), this was just a frozen lamb leg from the supermarket.

Made one really big Yorkshire pudding and cut into slices, this is the old-fashioned way and a bit of a change from the more common individuals.

Leg of lamb slow-roasted for 3.5 hours with garlic, rosemary and anchovies.

Gravy (lots of it for me as you can see) based on a wine pan deglaze and also has a fair bit of Henderson's Relish (basically Worcestershire Sauce) in it before being thickened.

Awesome! Love me a proper roast! One of these things I never make, because I’m cooking for myself only most of the time
