Saved some small taters from what I grew last year and stuck them in some moist potting mix 10 days ago and they’re already sprouting. I had one gnarly shaped one from the grocery store and it rotted.
What’s odd is in previous years I only used store bought to start – never my own – and it would take at least 2 months. I can probably guess why but so nice to see some vigour out of my homegrown!
