Svensk pølseret. The name always confuse Swedes. 🤭
The origin of the dish is along the lines of: "You're on holiday, staying at a remote Swedish ødegård. The only food you have is a pack of sausages and a bag of potatoes. You find a bottle of ketchup in a cupboard. With these ingredients you make a dish."
It has been improved to be a delicious dish, using quality sausages, a good tomato paste, paprika, plenty of pepper, and topped with parsley.
It is still an everyday dish and something a poor student might make.
Today I felt like having the taste of nostalgia.

Showed the picture to a Swedish child and he turned his nose up I’m afraid.
Now if you want to pump it up and try a version from Greece… try spentzofai 👉

You will need some Greek village sausages which you can find abroad nowadays.
Traditionally this is a meze for tsipouro but I can see it working well with akvavit 👏
