Seconded. I always see super well marbled chuck eyes at Giant Eagle for like $9 / lb, can’t pass on it.

I love chuck in a pot roast, but does it make for a tender steak?

All hail the poor man’s ribeye. Chuck steak was all I ate for a good while when I lived in Korea where quality domestic ribeye costs 40-50 bucks per pound. That’s soooo nicely cooked btw!!

It isn’t overlooked. We just don’t talk about it so the price stays low. Thanks a lot.

This was my bachelor go-to back in the day. Meijer used to sell these in pairs and it would be like, $6 (yes this was a long time ago). If I was in a particularly gluttonous mood I would get a small chuck roast and grill it like a steak.

What is “done right” for chuck eye? Any technical differences to consider vs a more standard steak?
I never see it. I feel like all these cuts like chuck eye, flat iron, are just legend
