Butcher had an 18lb ribeye cut on display, with a sell by date of yesterday. $539 regular, asked for a discount due to date, and got it for $140! $400 discount!

I would invest in a nice vacuum sealer. Enjoy!

Butcher out there scamming people at $30/lb for the primal. Insane.

They look beautifully cut. Can you share any techniques that help 🤔

I end up with rough cuts and uneven.

Great! You actually got it for about half price if that were normally priced.

    $539 is insulting.
Doubly so given the lack of marbling.

$539 is a massive rip-off. Glad you got a more reasonable price.

Awesome! I see you live on an island! I’m in Alaska it’s not quite the same, but we pay so much for everything. Nice find!

All day, you should have bought a vac packer and bags for another $100.

I go to my local US chef store (used to be cash and carry) quite often they have 50% off meat because it’s a day before the pull date
