Alright r/hotsauce — quick one from a sauce nerd in Northern Ireland.
A mate of mine makes small-batch hot sauce in Belfast, and I’m not exaggerating when I say it’s some of the tastiest stuff I’ve had in ages. It’s got that rare combo of proper flavour and heat that isn’t just there to punish you.
Two names you’ll remember:
1) Belfastard
Cracking all-rounder. The kind of sauce you reach for without thinking — eggs, wraps, pizza, chips, the lot. Warm, punchy, and dead easy to love.
2) Pain in the Hole!
This one… aye. It earns the name. Fruity up front and then it ramps up fast — the sort of heat that makes you blink and reassess your life choices, but you still go back in for more. Unreal on wings, in soups/stews, or anywhere you want a proper kick.
If anyone’s into Belfast-made craft sauces and wants something different from the usual supermarket “hot-but-boring” stuff, these are worth hunting down.
Happy to share the link in the comments if that’s allowed here — don’t want to break the self-promo rules (even though it’s not my brand).

Nice. Im guessing these are only sold in UK and Ireland? Still good to see some hot sauce taking off in europe. Last time I went finding a decent hot sauce was like a needle in a haystack
One of the best posts in hot sauce sub. I wish I can try some of these. I noticed the most orange one was in the middle 😂
