A family friend bought me pepper seeds from Canada and they're like this. I have grown peppers of all shapes and types and know this ain't pepper seeds. Any clue what these might be?

Basil maybe? They gel up like chia seeds if you get them wet.

Basil, pak choi, tatsoi. Grown thousands of these plants and this is what the seeds look like.

My guess is onion. Onions look like rocks

Onion or brassica seeds from the looks of it. Not peppers at all.

I had kaktus seeds once that looked like that. Could be onion as others mentioned.

Don’t open them. Seal them in a ziplock bag (double bag for safety) and dispose of them in the trash. You don’t know what they are; they could be an invasive species.

Turnips, mustard greens, radish, arrugula, asian greens, broccoli, all those look like these seeds

They might be seeds from the Rocotto (Pubescens Chilli) family.
They could be something bad like morning glory flowers. I say dispose of them by fire! You do not want invasive plants!

They look just like the columbine seeds I got. You’ll never ID them from a photo.

Not pepper seeds for sure.

Your friend is from Canada, but are the seeds? The bar code on the package reminds me of Temu stuff. These are clearly not pepper seeds, and the fact that they are labeled as such make me just say that they need to be disposed of properly, in case they are invasive.

They are normally bigger, but they are black.
