When I think of someone who really knows their way around the kitchen, Martha Stewart instantly comes to mind. For decades, she’s shared dozens of recipes for cooks of all levels, including her 10-minute green beans, creamy macaroni and cheese, and a one-pan pasta featuring fresh ingredients from her garden.

Although it may seem that her brain is constantly churning out new creations, we were surprised to discover that the queen of entertainment tends to stick to the same meals each week.

During an appearance on the “Lipstick on the Rim” podcast, Stewart shared that her day starts with activities such as reading the New York Times, playing all its games, doing a workout, and having a cappuccino with farm-fresh whole milk. She also explained that she makes her own yogurt every week, raises her own chickens, and begins every day, without fail, with her signature green juice.

The Green Juice Martha Stewart Drinks Every Day

Despite her busy career, Martha has maintained a consistent morning routine, including making a green juice every day. Made with ingredients straight from her garden, the nutrient-rich drink offers a tasty way to jump-start her day. “I drink eight ounces of that every single morning, and that’s why I have nice hair,” she explained on a TikTok video shared by Martha Stewart Living.

To make Stewart’s juice, you’ll need celery, cucumbers, parsley, ginger, and spinach. While it’s not a must, she sometimes adds fruit to the mix, as well. Once you have all the ingredients, all that’s left is to put them through a juicer. Stewart’s juicer of choice? A Breville juicer, which she explains, allows her to enjoy the most nutrients from the ingredients.

The best part of this recipe is how easy it is to adapt to whatever produce you have on hand and your flavor preferences. If you like your juices on the sweeter side, add some dates or honey to the mix. You can add more celery for extra antioxidants, or skip the ginger if it’s slightly too sharp for your taste.

Not surprisingly, Stewart isn’t the only celeb who starts the day with a green juice. Reese Witherspoon has also said that it’s been her go-to breakfast for over 10 years.

Considering it was only three years ago that the 84-year-old graced the cover of Sports Illustrated, looking radiant as ever, it might be time to make green juice a part of our daily routine, too.
