Alright.. what’s the methodology with the mustard here?
I use it as apart of smoking ribs, never thought to incorporate it with steak.

Interesting. I may have to give that a try.

Better be dijon mustard
schilleger0420
Doesn’t look bad at all. The mustard is odd but I occasionally get mustard fried burgers so it’s not unheard of. All in all it looks pretty tasty. Out of curiosity is that just regular plain mustard or something a little fancier?
TacoLvR-
Interesting.

You could get a better sear if you weren’t steaming the meat with mustard gas
Chance-Engineer-704
Those look like hamburger patties – blah
Chroniklogic
I feel like this would be better with the mustard applied near the end of the cooking cycle. Completely sear upfront, then apply the mustard with a brush. Pulling it off before it burns. And using a high quality mustard would go a long way imo.

Mustard with steak? Isn’t that a binder for smoking? Weird.

Thought I saw mustard on your steaks.

Mustard and nipple are two things I wasn’t expecting in this sub
Toadfire
Mustard is generally for slow cooked meats and not steaks.
BUT if you are gonna use it for the steak than you need to make a mustard marinade for it.
Mix up some Mustard and Worcestershire and and than slather it up and let it sit overnight.
Clean it all off and then season with salt n pepper right before tossing on the grill.

Look great but should have rested it a bit longer

I would kill to be outside with some ice water. If I did that my water would freeze right now. I’d love to be where you are right now. Nice job!
