I'm so pleased with how it turned out. This was my most complex bake yet, and my first time making and icing a sandwich cake.
I also made all of the chocolate hearts myself – melted 5 different kinds of chocolate from white to 72% dark, and piped into silicone moulds.
The icing is 72% dark chocolate with a few teaspoons of coffee.
I can't wait to try it!

I’m so excited for you!
The hearts look amazing! Sound delicious, enjoy!
The little chocolate hearts look great! Genius to make them out of different kinds of chocolate for the color effect. What’s on the inside?
Beauty!

[Recipe](https://i.postimg.cc/xCxkQr98/IMG-0970.jpg) – I didn’t use apricot jam, and did add coffee to the icing. I also multiplied the cake recipe by 1.25x and the icing recipe by 1.75 since my cakes were bigger and I was doing a sandwich cake.
Omg I would devour that with a glass of wine and a good rom-com! The cake honestly looks delicious! I’m glad that you made this for yourself…I’ve noticed a lot of people are doing this now and I think it’s a terrific idea! Everyone should be celebrated no matter in which way it happens. Happy Valentine’s Day!💖💖💖💖💖
