Thank you for your picture post to r/sousvide. We want to remind everyone of Rule #5. Posts should be accompanied by something to foster discussion. A comment, a question, etc is encouraged.
If you’ve posted a picture of something you’ve prepared, please explain why in a comment so people can have some sort of conversation. Simply dropping a picture of food in the sub isn’t really fostering any discussion which is what we’re all aiming for.
Posts that are a picture with no discussion can and will be removed by the mods.
Thank you!!

New to sous vide. Trying to cook some pork tenderloin and wasn’t sure if it was ok to put multiple pieces in one bag. I tried to separate them as much as I could while getting the air out of the bag.
I could use multiple bags but I was worried there would be too much material in terms of plastic floating around in there that it might impede circulation/flow or whatever. Any tips are appreciated and if you think I didn’t get enough air out or anything else like that pls let me know!

I think it looks fine. I put multiple pieces into one bag, too

If they’re all fully seated in the water, you’ll be okay.

Do it all the time. Stuffed multiple meat chunks, burgers, veg etc. in the same bag, absolutely no problem. You’ll be fine.

Yea. Just don’t increase thickness

Absolutely I do it all the time. As long as they have some space you’ll have no issues. If the pieces get too crowded you can get some uneven colors on the cook but nothing worse than that

It’s what I do. Just always make sure meat cuts are not on top (covering) of one another

Are zip lock bags fine to use?
CannedHeatt_
Yeah that fine. Meat comes packaged together right

Absolutely, they don’t always stay positioned neatly like that though.

I work in a restaurant that is pretty well respected (not that that matters) but we do this like everyday. It’s fine.
