Thank you for your picture post to r/sousvide. We want to remind everyone of Rule #5. Posts should be accompanied by something to foster discussion. A comment, a question, etc is encouraged.
If you’ve posted a picture of something you’ve prepared, please explain why in a comment so people can have some sort of conversation. Simply dropping a picture of food in the sub isn’t really fostering any discussion which is what we’re all aiming for.
Posts that are a picture with no discussion can and will be removed by the mods.
Thank you!!

Water level not high enough?

It’s most likely trash, but you can try a different outlet, try whacking it a few times (the sous vide), or if you’re out of warranty and particularly unethical, you can buy the same model and return the dead one.

So many of the cheap units can cook a steak just fine, but veggies or even pork shoulder and the heat just fries the crappy internals. Even inkbird doesn’t last when subjected to high heat cooks, in my experience.

Heat is bad for electronics. If my computer reaches 85c, it automatically shuts down in an attempt to save itself. You very likely cooked your circulator. They aren’t designed to maintain high temperatures like this.

Contact the manufacturer. They may want to make good on their product.
