**This is a generic reminder message under every image post**

Thank you for your picture post to r/sousvide. We want to remind everyone of Rule #5. Posts should be accompanied by something to foster discussion. A comment, a question, etc is encouraged.

If you’ve posted a picture of something you’ve prepared, please explain why in a comment so people can have some sort of conversation. Simply dropping a picture of food in the sub isn’t really fostering any discussion which is what we’re all aiming for.

Posts that are a picture with no discussion can and will be removed by the mods.

    Thank you!!

Have you considered making a gravy out of bag juice? Nobody does that it seems from these posts.

Also “bag juice” sounds super gross, but I don’t know any other appropriate term.

Did you have some kind of dipping sauce for the glasses?

So I did my first long (ish) cook today, tri tip for 8 hours, what is the benefit of going so long to 24? Not hating at all it looks great, just wondering why.

I was onboard until I panned over to the toothy lettuce

I did this today and mine had a funny smell, literally fresh bought from Costco earlier that day

I planned for this for Friday night, was going to do 30 hours.   I fucked up majorly and did not add enough water…. Woke up to my sous vide beeping error because not enough water.   Who knows how long it was like that for

I felt my soul leave my body.
