  1. Fellow chefs! I’m not a huge fan of the corn starch slurry.. I assume they did this for the sake of time. If I had more patience, could I just let the sauce reduce instead of doing the cornstarch?

  2. Quartering so many cherries takes a lot of work. Especially for people with hand or wrist issues. Consider using a food processor to chope them for you.

  3. Why yes! This recipe segment did end rather abruptly. The final 60 seconds:

Ashley: You do get it in there.
Julia: Mmm! Sweet potatoes are perfectly cooked, very silky.
    A: Very smooth.
J: And I love how the flavors on the pork chop and the sauce and the sweet potatoes, it all goes together.
A: Yeah. It really works well together.
    J: Mm-hmm.
A: Also gives a little bit subtle onion flavor from the chives
    J: Mm-hmm. I love it.
J: Oh, this is such a good fall dish!
    A: Mm-hmm.
    J: Nicely done. Thank you!
    A: You're welcome!
J: If you want to make this easy but fabulous pork chop dinner, start by cooking sweet potatoes in a little liquid before blending it right in the pot.
J: Season the pork chops with a little pumpkin pie spice and cook the chops until they register 140 degrees.
J: From Cook's Country, a fabulous meal of Pork Chops with a Bourbon Cherry Sauce and Sweet Potatoes.
J: I love meals like this! You don't have to think about you know?
    A: Mm-hmm.
J: Just follow the instructions and it turns out incredible.
A: One foot in front of the other.
    J: Mm-hmm.
    A: [laughs]
    J: Mmm.

  4. Sounds amazing! I've had great success with several of Ashley's recipes – for sure I'll give this one a try! Thanks!

  5. I missed Ashley. Is it weird to wish she was my daughter? IDC! I am leaving her a piece of jewelry in my will. I know my husband will eat her recipes. Thanks Ash, and yes I am still a vegetarian.
