I was a normal consumer of onion til I started seeing this sub while scrolling. I only liked onions cooked. Y’all reminded me of a gal I worked with who ate onions like apples.

After seeing more from here over a couple of weeks, my favorite snack became a slice of buttered sourdough with tons of onion and some sharp cheddar cheese, toasted. So still kinda cooked.

Then one of you posted a video of a person slicing a red onion, seasoning it, and eating it. I thought, man, that is too much! But then…I kept thinking about it. And yesterday there was a Martha Stewart video where her favorite sandwich is buttered bread and raw onion. I tried it and I liked it. Even the burnt feeling. I don’t know how you got me to like raw onion but I wanted to thank you.

And today I cut into this onion and when I saw the heart I knew what I had to do. Thank you for making me one of you.

Onions are like that friend you enjoy but occasionally makes you weep.

The onions made you love onions. The group just made you accept who you are.
