Oh, that looks absolutely delicious and it is so cold here today! I would really enjoy a hot bowl of that French onion soup

    those onions needed more caramelization😅

Hey looks great, but not traditional french onion soup.

    (1) Those onions need to be at least Michael B. Jordan brown before liquid is introduced.

    (2) Beef broth (looks like chicken broth here)

    (3) Thyme

    But looks delicious regardless.

As delicious as that is, cooking those onions for at least 30 more minutes will take the flavor to another level

Oh, I’m so sorry. That’s just onion soup brother. Gotta deeply caramelize those onions brother. I love onions, but French onion is a time consuming endeavor

  6. Looks delicious. Also looks like others have already hinted at how you can level it up. Excited to see what the next batch looks like

  7. those onions needed way longer. I eat like a racoon and will fuck up some French onion soup. but this is just like onion soup. Im not trying to be mean or anything because the first time I tried to make French onion soup I had to throw it away it was ao gross. Im not well off so if I fuck up a dish ill still eat it lol. With this its important to get your onions and your roux correct. You can throw whatever you want in there after and call it French onion, idgaf ill eat multiple bowls. This ain’t it. Try again

The fridge needs to be provided by landlord fyi

  9. Why use such a huge pot? Should have put 7lb of onions in there and carmelize until reduced to an inch deep of onion.

    I’d be filing for divorce.

Personally I like this kind of onion soup, it’s more of a country style.     Fast to make, and lots of sweet umami goodness and a nice texture especially with a bit of immersion blending.
