Hmmm, I don’t know how to feel about this…. To start, the lemon flavor is pleasant but mild. The texture is very light, as standard for Private Selection. It works for this flavor since the lemon is a lighter flavor. If this was just the lemon ice cream I’d be able to recommend this wholeheartedly!
Unfortunately the sugar pieces are…. a little too burnt, to the point of being very bitter. The initial flavor was very good but the bitter aftertaste is too strong and overbearing. There were a lot of these sugar pieces as well, which would normally be a good thing. If the flavor was slightly tweaked so there wasn’t a bitter aftertaste this flavor would be much better.

Lemon ice cream is not usually particularly unpleasant, it would take some effort to make it taste bad.
No Kroger in my area but I would try this
I really liked this flavor… the burnt sugar really does taste burnt and I loved it, just like creme brûlée. But I can certainly see how that wouldn’t be to everyone’s taste!
