My nephew asked for a cookie dough cake. I made him a chocolate cake and did a food safe chocolate chip cookie dough that I rolled out thin and put between the layers. Did a cream cheese frosting and the leftover cookie dough I cut into his initials and brushed with melted chocolate.

Nice work, I’d probably get the cookie dough broken down into small chunks though and stir/fold it into the batter before scaling it into the cake pans. Gently, though- you don’t want to overmix your cake batter (which will overdevelop the gluten in the flour unless it’s g free)
