Had a free morning so threw together the recipe this baking sub found for you on request as I had never tried sticky toffee pudding before (it's not really a midwest staple). If it is anything like what you've been dreaming of for the past decade since you last tried it, yes it's unbelievably amazing. I used an 8 inch springform, subbed out the cream for whole milk in the caramel sauce and added a splash of maple syrup to the sauce. Only had to bake 50 minutes. Otherwise it was a fairly straightforward recipe to make, thank you so much for tracking it down for us to try, it's going in my favorites binder.

I am pretty sure I'm skipping dinner and just having more pudding.

If anyone wants the recipe just find the post from yesterday in the baking sub from u/AllTheEggsIVF

I saw that post and was hoping the OP could get some help! Pregnancy cravings are no joke and this sure looks delicious.

It makes my heart happy that somewhere on this planet there’s a pregnant lady able to take a deep breath (well, as deep as she can…those damned babies hog all the space) and get her sticky toffee craving satisfied.

That’s a fine looking pudding. It’s a British staple and you’ll find it on the menu in most pubs/restaurants. Only thing I would suggest is more toffee sauce. It’s usually cut into squares
So that it can be served with a scoop of ice cream on top. Alternatively, double cream or warm custard on the side!

Yesssss I love seeing origin stories in real time. I’ll bet this gets as big as Kath’s Date Bars!

This looks glorious! It’s funny because I just made sticky toffee pudding on Sunday because I was doing Sunday roast. I don’t think I had ever made it before and it was amazing. But I’ll bet not as good as this one. Easy and yummy.

My only pregnancy craving was tequila. Sigh.

Have you make it with treacle/golden syrup? Do I need to use those things or will it taste pretty much the same

Sticky toffee/date pudding is a staple here in Australia, so I’m so happy to see such a good looking one here. Well done!! I can smell it

Apparently the universe really wants me to make some sticky toffee pudding. I almost bought a frozen one at Meijers today, but held off cause I can make it better. And look, here it is. I know what my weekend plan is!

I’m going to have to wait till my relatives show up before I bake this. I don’t trust myself alone with a 9×9 of this beautiful thing

One of my trips to England was dubbed “the sticky toffee pudding tour”. If it was on the menu, I ordered it. Some places serve it with whipped cream, some ice cream, and some with custard. It’s all good! There was a restaurant here in my town (in Canada) that made it occasionally, sometimes with a twist, and once it was an Earl Grey STP. I don’t know what they did, steeped the dates in tea? Who knows but it was truly delish and memorable. I appreciate having this tried and true recipe now to satisfy my next craving.
